In the winter of 2008, I was arrested for selling controversial hand-printed shirts on the streets of NYC. Upon my release, I contacted media that had previously written about my t-shirts. The news of my legally questionable arrest was reported on the first page of the NY Daily News, and subsequently shared through a number of radio interviews and prominent blog postings. I was later awarded a court settlement from NYC for my unlawful arrest. Though no longer able to sell my shirts in person, I created HateTheCoach.com, allowing people to purchase them online. I ended up selling over 300 shirts.

The shirt received a good amount of coverage from the press.

In response to the success of Hate The Coach t-shirts, I launched a shirt that all Knicks fans could support: One that emplores the Knicks organization to sign Lebron James in 2010. Over 200 shirts were sold. After James decided to go elsewhere, the shirt and a brief interview was featured in The Wall Street Journal. The archived website is iLebronNY.com
